It Hasn't Gone Away: How to Interrupt Identity-Based Violence During a Pandemic

According to the UN, the lockdowns precipitated by the corona virus may lead to an additional 30 million cases of domestic violence. Social distancing doesn't mean that endemic problems of identity-based violence have disappeared. From harassment to physical assault, it continues behind closed doors, in virtual spaces online, and, as always, on the streets.

Join Shawna Potter, author of Making Spaces Safer, for an overview of what we can do here and now: tips and tactics for bystander intervention, safety planning for yourself or others, and some ways to respond to harassment. Shawna will present for about 30 minutes and then answer people's specific questions.

Shawna's book is available for purchase here (and is 50% off list price this month only!)
