Beyond Code of Conduct: Creating Safe(r) Spaces

Presented by Purple City Fest (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada): Creating safer spaces takes preparation, shared responsibility and a willingness to listen, learn and act. Join War On Women frontperson and Making Spaces Safer author Shawna Potter for a candid conversation on building more equitable and inclusive music spaces. From harassment and gender inequity to exclusion and other barriers to participation, the panel will explore how artists, organizers and venues can challenge these barriers and create meaningful change.
